Group Counseling Options

Counseling First Aid Training

Counseling First Aid is a practice where individuals and groups can be trained in basic psychology and counseling techniques to help those suffering immediate psychological distress. Sign up for a training, and learn how you can help others as well as yourself!

Mental Health Support Group

Sometimes, we all just need a little help. With our Mental Health Support Groups, you can gather together with others who are struggling and, with the help of one of our counselors, learn how to navigate these challenges together. You are not alone!

Parental Support Group

Parenting can be difficult, but we can help. With our Parental Support Groups, you can gather together with fellow parents and one of our trained counselors to learn more about how to handle not only your children's growing emotions, but your own as well.

Rev. Akiko Van Antwerpen (Volunteer)

Born in Japan, Rev. Akiko Van Antwerpen is a graduate of Hope College and Princeton Theological Seminary, and specializes in Pastoral Care and Counseling ministries. Fluently bilingual in both Japanese and English, Pastor Akiko has a passion for helping people struggling with depression, communication issues, cultural adjustments, and life transitions
Message from the Counselor
I believe that people can change and grow at any age if they are placed in a supportive environment. I listen to the life stories of many people on a daily basis. It gives me great joy and fulfillment to support people who are facing their own weaknesses and pain, but are still moving forward without giving up.
